Frequently Asked Questions
RASA Shaktipat
What is RASA Shaktipat?
RASA is an acronym for Ramaji Advaita Shaktipat Attunement. It is a gentle yet powerful spiritual transmission that supports non-dual awakening and Self-recognition. The transmission works through Grace, helping the nervous system and consciousness naturally stabilize in higher levels of awareness.
RASA is received in silence and requires no effort other than openness and receptivity.
What is the goal of RASA Shaktipat?
RASA supports the recognition of your true nature — the Self beyond thought, identity, and conditioning. Its purpose is not to create experiences, but to support stabilization in clarity, peace, and effortless being.
While awakening may unfold quickly for some, each person’s process is unique and unfolds according to readiness.
Timeline of RASA & Self-Realization (General Guidance)
Experiences with RASA and awakening unfold uniquely for each individual. The following timeline reflects commonly reported patterns shared across RASA literature and practitioner experience.
Initial Sessions
-
Subtle or noticeable shifts in peace, clarity, or spaciousness
-
A sense of being more present, grounded, or relaxed
-
Temporary energetic sensations or emotional releases
-
A feeling that effortful seeking has begun to soften
Some experience immediate recognition; for others, changes are quiet and cumulative.
First Few Months
-
Gradual movement into higher Levels of Consciousness (LOC)
-
Less identification with thoughts and emotional patterns
-
Increased inner stability and ease in daily life
-
Periods of insight alternating with integration and rest
For many seekers, awakening unfolds progressively during this phase.
Stabilization Phase
-
Clear and sustained recognition of the Self beyond mind
-
End of compulsive seeking and existential striving
-
Greater consistency of peace regardless of circumstances
-
Natural embodiment rather than peak experiences
When stabilization occurs at a new LOC, it remains stable and does not regress.
Long-Term Integration
-
Deepening simplicity and naturalness (Sahaja Samadhi)
-
Ordinary life lived from clarity and wholeness
-
Continued maturation without effort or seeking
-
Healing and awakening experienced as one movement
Many individuals report stabilization in Self-recognition within several months to one year, though timing varies widely and is dependent on readiness and Grace.
How Long Does It Take to Reach Self-Realization?
There is no guaranteed timeline for reaching LOC 1000 or stabilized Self-recognition. Some students experience rapid movement within a few months, while others integrate more gradually over the time period of a year.
Consistent sessions, inner openness, and nervous system integration significantly influence progression. RASA works directly at the level of consciousness, which can accelerate movement through the higher LOC ranges, but stabilization is as important as elevation.
Awakening is a matter of Grace and readiness. What can be said is that when consciousness stabilizes at a new level, it does not regress.
More than 1,000 people have awakened via RASA.
What happens during a RASA session?
A typical session includes:
-
A brief check-in and opportunity for questions
-
An assessment of your current level of consciousness (LOC)
-
A 15-minute silent RASA transmission with eyes closed
-
A short integration period afterward
Sessions are gentle, quiet, and deeply supportive.
Can RASA be received online?
Yes. RASA is equally effective whether received in person or remotely via Zoom or Skype. Physical distance does not affect the potency of the transmission.
Who is RASA for?
RASA is well suited for seekers who:
-
Feel at the “end of seeking”
-
Are drawn toward Self-realization or enlightenment
-
Desire stabilization rather than peak experiences
-
Feel ready to surrender effort and allow Grace
What is the Map of Consciousness (LOC)?
Ramaji’s Levels of Consciousness (LOC)
— A Map of Non-Dual Awakening
The Levels of Consciousness (LOC), as presented by Ramaji in 1000, describe the progression from ordinary human experience to full Self-realization (LOC 1000).
This map offers a clear and practical framework for understanding the stages of non-dual awakening—how the sense of a separate self dissolves and how realization deepens and stabilizes over time.
Rather than measuring emotions or personality, LOC reflects the degree to which identification with the mind has fallen away.
While the full scale ranges from LOC 30 to 1000, the stages of awakening become most relevant from LOC 500 onward, where genuine spirituality begins.
LOC 200–400 — The River of Life
Ramaji refers to LOC 30 through 499 as “The River of Life.”
At these levels:
-
Life is experienced through the mind, body, and personal identity
-
Thoughts and conditioning shape perception
-
A sense of being a separate self remains intact
Within this range:
-
The 300s reflect emotional openness and allowing
-
The 400s emphasize intellect, logic, and understanding
Even when spirituality appears here, it is typically conceptual rather than directly realized.
LOC 500 — Spiritual Awakening Begins
LOC 500 marks the beginning of true spirituality beyond belief systems.
-
Attention naturally turns inward
-
There is a pull toward truth and deeper meaning
-
The process of inner transformation begins
This stage often opens the door to practices such as meditation, self-inquiry, or transmission-based work like RASA Shaktipat, which can support the transition into deeper awareness.
LOC 560–589 — Preparation for Non-Dual Awakening
This range represents a structured preparation for realization:
-
560s — Engagement with non-dual teachings begins
-
570s — Spiritual seeking intensifies
-
580s — Thought-free awareness becomes accessible
-
581–589 — Stabilization and readiness for awakening
The ability to rest in effortless, thought-free awareness is a key indicator that the system is ready to move beyond the mind.
LOC 590–599 — The Transitional Threshold
This stage acts as a gateway into non-dual awakening.
-
The familiar sense of self begins to dissolve
-
The “I-thought” weakens
-
Fear of loss of identity may arise
This is often the final stage before the shift into non-duality.
LOC 600–699 — Non-Dual Awakening (No-Self)
LOC 600 marks the beginning of non-dual awakening.
-
The sense of a separate self falls away
-
Awareness is recognized as primary
-
Experience shifts into pure being or presence
This stage is centered on the realization of no self, often described as a profound shift in identity.
LOC 700–799 — Cosmic Consciousness
At LOC 700, realization expands beyond no-self into a more expansive field.
-
Awareness is experienced as vast or universal
-
The boundary between self and world dissolves further
-
There may be a sense of being everything
Ramaji describes this as the emergence of the cosmic self.
LOC 800–899 — Divine Union (Not Knowing)
This stage reflects a deepening beyond conceptual understanding.
-
A profound surrender into not knowing
-
Release of subtle identity structures
-
Direct, non-conceptual experience of reality
There is often a sense of unity, devotion, or intimacy with all that is.
LOC 900–1000 — The Natural State and the Absolute
LOC 900 — Stabilization in the Natural State
-
Non-dual awareness becomes continuous
-
“No mind” is stable and effortless
-
The sense of individuality is nearly absent
LOC 1000 — Self-Realization (The Absolute)
-
The illusion of separation is fully dissolved
-
There is no personal identity or doer
-
Reality is known as non-dual and whole
LOC 1000 represents the completion of the path—full Self-realization.
General FAQ's
What Support is Available After Awakening?
Awakening is not an endpoint, but the beginning of a different way of living. For those who stabilize in LOC 1000 through RASA, ongoing integration support is available, including lifetime email support. This is offered to support discernment, embodiment, and clarity as life continues to unfold.
